TOTO Neorest NX1 Compatibility

The TOTO Neorest NX1 is a one-piece smart toilet that replaces your existing toilet. Confirm these measurements before ordering.

  • Rough-in measurement: Requires 12-inch rough-in (distance from wall to drain center). No 10-inch or 14-inch adapter is available.
  • Floor clearance: Allow at least 15 inches of clearance on each side of the toilet centerline and 21 inches in front for comfortable use.
  • Water supply location: Your existing water supply line should be accessible near the toilet location. Standard ½-inch connection required.
  • GFCI 120V outlet: A dedicated 15-amp GFCI electrical outlet must be within 3 feet of the toilet. Outlet cannot be switched.
  • Drain configuration: Works with floor-mounted drain only. Wall-mounted drains are not compatible.

For reference: The Neorest NX1 is elongated with Universal Height and ADA compliance.

Installation steps

  1. Turn off the water supply and flush the existing toilet to empty the tank.
  2. Disconnect the water supply line and remove the old toilet by unbolting it from the floor flange.
  3. Clean the floor flange and wax ring area thoroughly; install a new wax ring on the floor flange.
  4. Position the Neorest NX1 over the floor flange and press down firmly to set the wax ring, then bolt the toilet to the flange.
  5. Connect the water supply line and connect the toilet drain outlet to the floor drain.
  6. Plug the power cord into the GFCI 120V outlet within 3 feet, then run the water supply through the fill cycle and test all flush and bidet functions.
  7. Adjust seat height, water temperature, spray position, and user presets using the remote control.
