Duravit SensoWash u Compatibility & Requirements

The SensoWash u is a complete standalone toilet fixture that does not require a separate bowl purchase. Confirm these requirements before installation:

  • Drain Setup: Vertical outlet drain alignment.
  • Power Requirement: Requires a concealed 120V GFCI electrical supply feed behind the unit.
  • Water Hardness: For installations in areas with hard water, installing an inline water softening system and using Duravit Descaling Cartridges (#100732) with the integrated decalcification mode is strongly recommended.

Installation steps

  1. Verify Rough-In & Utilities: Confirm vertical drain outlet placement, standard cold water supply connection, and a concealed 120V GFCI electrical supply behind the installation point.
  2. Set Ceramic Fixture: Position and secure the floor-standing SensoWash u toilet body to the floor flange and wall anchor points, ensuring all internal plumbing lines align.
  3. Power On & Pair Control: Connect the concealed power cabling, turn on the water line to inspect for leaks, and pair the backlit remote or app to program user profiles.
