Every Legato flushes 1.28 gallons and is EPA WaterSense certified. Choosing Between the Legato WASHLET+ S2 and S5

Choose the S2 if you want the full wash, dry and deodorize package at the lower price and are happy operating it from a panel on the side of the seat. Choose the S5 if you want a multifunction remote, memory for four users, and a night light that illuminates the inside of the bowl. Everything below the seat is identical: the same Legato bowl, the same 1.28 GPF TORNADO FLUSH, the same skirt.

What both seats give you

The S2 and the S5 both include front and rear warm water washing with adjustable temperature and pressure, a heated seat, a warm air dryer, an automatic deodorizer, PREMIST and EWATER+. Check your rough-in before you order

The Legato ships with a 12-inch Unifit rough-in and offers 10-inch and 14-inch Unifit adapters as paid options. Measure from the finished wall behind the tank to the center of the bolt caps at the base of your existing toilet before you buy anything. Unifit replaces the lower half of the new toilet's trapway and adapts it to the drain you already have, so a 10-inch bathroom does not need pipes moved. TOTO warns that Unifit adapters are not offered on every model or in every length; the Legato lists all three. Confirm the space around the bowl

The Legato WASHLET+ S5 set measures 30 inches long, 19 inches wide and 29-5/8 inches high. Plan on 21 inches of clear floor in front of the bowl and 15 inches to each side from the centerline. The skirt reaches the floor, so unlike an exposed-trapway toilet there is no narrow gap behind the bowl you have to reach a brush into, but the flat sides also mean the fixture reads wider than a standard bowl in a tight alcove.
