An elongated bowl measures about 18.5 inches from the seat bolts to the front rim; a round bowl is about 16.5 inches. Elongated is more comfortable and now the more common choice. Round saves roughly two inches of floor space, which matters in a small bathroom.
Cotton White (#01) is a clean, bright white and by far the most common. Colonial White (#11) is warmer with a cream undertone. Sedona Beige (#12) is a light tan. TOTO puts the colour code after the hash in every model number.
1.28 gallons per flush is the current standard and is required by law in several states. 1.6 GPF is the older standard and uses about 25% more water per flush. On a modern TOTO the flushing performance is effectively the same, so 1.28 is the better default.
Universal Height means the seat sits roughly 17 to 19 inches from the floor — about two inches higher than a standard toilet, and the height ADA guidelines call for. Standard Height sits around 15 inches. On TOTO models, an F in the model number means Universal Height.
