TOTO Redington

The TOTO Redington is a fully skirted one-piece toilet with an elongated bowl at Universal Height, sold in two flush volumes: 1.28 GPF and the 1G version at 1.0 GPF. Both bodies are built for WASHLET+, so the bidet seat's water line runs inside the toilet instead of down the wall behind it.

What the TOTO Redington Is

The TOTO Redington is a fully skirted, one-piece elongated toilet at Universal Height, built around TORNADO FLUSH and designed from the start to take a WASHLET+ bidet seat. TOTO sells it as a bare toilet in two flush volumes and as a complete WASHLET+ set. The model number is MS672124CEFG at 1.28 GPF and MS672124CUFG for the 1G at 1.0 GPF.

A skirted body with nothing to clean around

Skirted means the trapway is enclosed behind a flat outer wall, so the sides of the bowl are smooth instead of ribbed and there is no recess behind the base to wipe out. Add the one-piece form, which removes the seam between tank and bowl, and there are very few places for dust to gather. TORNADO FLUSH and CEFIONTECT

TOTO describes TORNADO FLUSH as "two powerful nozzles that create a centrifugal, cyclonic rinsing action which reduces waste buildup and keeps the bowl cleaner," delivered through a hole-free rim rather than the ring of holes on an older toilet. The ceramic itself is finished with CEFIONTECT, the glaze TOTO says "prevents particulates from adhering to porous, ceramic surfaces." Neither technology is exclusive to this line — much of TOTO's current range carries both — but together they are why the bowl needs less scrubbing between cleans.

Universal Height and an elongated bowl

Every Redington is elongated and every Redington is Universal Height, which puts the seat roughly 17 to 19 inches off the floor, about two inches above a standard-height bowl. Measure your rough-in before you order

Measure your rough-in first, because on a skirted toilet it cannot be corrected after the fact. The Redington ships for a 12-inch rough-in, and 10-inch or 14-inch installations are handled by the TSU01W adapter, sold separately and fitted during installation. Measure from the finished wall behind the tank to the center of the floor bolts — to the wall, not the baseboard. Which WASHLET+ seat to pair with it

The Redington pairs with four WASHLET+ seats — S2, S5, S7 and S7A — and what separates them is control and lid behavior rather than the wash itself. The S2 and S5 are operated from a side panel; the S7 and S7A come with a remote control. The S7A alone adds an automatic open and close lid. The TOTO Aurora is also a fully skirted, Universal Height, elongated one-piece with CEFIONTECT, but TOTO lists it at 1.28 GPF only, in Cotton and Ebony, using the INTEGRAVITY dual-tank, dual-valve flush system.
