The TOTO Nexus 1G WASHLET+ S5 is a one-piece smart toilet with an integrated bidet seat. Confirm these four things before ordering:

  • Rough-in measurement: 12-inch standard (10-inch or 14-inch not supported; no adapter available).
  • Floor clearance: 21 inches in front of the bowl, 15 inches on each side.
  • Water supply: Standard ½-inch connection at the base of the toilet.
  • Electrical outlet: GFCI 120V within 3 feet (powers the integrated WASHLET+ S5 seat).

Installation steps

  1. Prep. Shut off the water supply, flush to empty the tank, then disconnect the supply line.
  2. Remove the old toilet. Unbolt from the floor and scrape the old wax ring from the flange.
  3. Set the wax ring. Place a new wax ring on the flange, centered over the drain.
  4. Seat the new toilet. Lower onto the flange, press down firmly, and hand-tighten the bolts evenly.
  5. Connect and test. Reconnect the supply line, restore water, and plug the seat into the GFCI outlet.
