TOTO Neorest AS Dual Flush Toilet

The TOTO NEOREST AS (MS8551CUMFG) is the model to buy when you want TOTO's best flushing system in a body that fits a normal bathroom.

This dual flush bidet toilet runs the HYBRID ECOLOGY SYSTEM — a pressure-independent electric flush working with TORNADO FLUSH — on 1.0 or 0.8 GPF, in a cabinet 15-1/4 inches wide and 27-1/4 inches long.

Neorest AS Compatibility

Make sure you measure the rough-in area in your bathroom from the wall to the center of the bolt down bolt.

Your bathroom will need a 12" Rough-In to install the Neorest LS.

Installation steps

Neorest AS installation is different than a traditional bidet or two piece toilet. Make sure you have enough space in your bathroom as well as the following:

At least 12" rough-in
GFCI 120V within 3 feet; dedicated 15-amp circuit recommended
Access to a water source
Enough room for front and sides of the toilet

How does the Neorest AS Smart Toilet stay clean?

Three things happen without you asking. PREMIST wets the bowl before you sit, so waste meets a wet surface rather than a dry one. CEFIONTECT, an ion-barrier glaze fired into the ceramic rather than sprayed on top, gives it very little to hold onto.

And after every use EWATER+ mists the wand, the bowl and the underside of the seat with electrolysed water.

The wand also cleans itself, inside and out, before and after each use, and CLEAN RESIN keeps the wand and seat surfaces easier to wipe down.None of it needs refilling, and there is no cartridge to buy.

The practical effect is a bowl that needs scrubbing far less often and almost no bathroom cleaner.

How comfortable is the Neorest AS?

The water is heated the instant you ask for it rather than kept warm in a reservoir.

That is why the wash does not turn cold partway through, and why there is no standby tank using power all day waiting for you.

Front and rear washing both adjust for spray position, water temperature and water pressure, with oscillating and pulsating modes.

The seat is heated with its own temperature control, and the warm air dryer has five settings — enough range to finish without reaching for paper.

The stick-style remote stores every one of those settings for up to four people, so nobody has to reset anything.
