The TOTO Drake II WASHLET+ S5 is a complete toilet-and-bidet system. Confirm these five things before ordering:

  • Rough-in measurement: Standard 12-inch rough-in (wall to drain center). 10-inch and 14-inch rough-ins are supported with the optional TOTO Unifit adapter, sold separately.
  • Bowl shape: This model is elongated only. Confirm your toilet has an elongated bowl, not a round one.
  • Floor clearance: You need at least 21 inches of clear space in front of the toilet bowl for comfort and cleaning access.
  • Water supply location: Your water supply valve should be accessible and located near the toilet for connection to the concealed supply inlet.
  • GFCI 120V outlet: A ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet must be within 3 feet of the toilet to power the WASHLET+ seat and heating functions.

For reference: Two-piece configuration: base toilet and integrated WASHLET+ S5 bidet seat arrive as one unit.

Installation steps

  1. Turn off the water supply valve and flush your old toilet to empty the tank completely.
  2. Remove the old toilet by unbolting the base from the floor and disconnecting the water supply line.
  3. Inspect the flange and drain opening; replace or repair the flange if it is cracked or loose.
  4. Position the Drake II over the flange, align the bolt holes, and hand-tighten the bolts evenly to secure the base to the floor.
  5. Connect the water supply line to the concealed inlet on the unit and turn the water supply back on; check for leaks.
  6. Plug the WASHLET+ S5 control cord into the GFCI 120V outlet within 3 feet of the toilet.
