TOTO UltraMax WASHLET+ S5 Compatibility

The TOTO UltraMax WASHLET+ S5 is an elongated one-piece toilet with a concealed WASHLET+ bidet seat system. Confirm the following before ordering.

Rough-In Measurement:
Designed for a standard 12-inch rough-in. Measure from the finished wall to the center of the floor drain to ensure compatibility.

Floor Space Requirements:
The elongated bowl extends farther into the room than a round-front toilet. Verify sufficient front clearance and a minimum of 15 inches from the bowl centerline to any adjacent wall, vanity, or fixture.

Water Supply Location:
Compatible with standard residential ½-inch shutoff valves. The water supply connection should be accessible for the included WASHLET installation hardware.

Electrical Requirements:
A nearby 120V GFCI-protected outlet is required to power the heated seat, warm water cleansing, warm air dryer, deodorizer, night light, and electronic controls.

Drain Configuration:
This model is designed exclusively for floor-mounted drain installations. Wall-drain plumbing systems are not compatible.

Flooring Compatibility:
Suitable for installation on tile, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, concrete, and other standard bathroom flooring materials when used with a properly installed closet flange.

WASHLET+ Concealed Integration:
The WASHLET+ design routes water and electrical connections through the toilet body, eliminating exposed hoses and power cords for a cleaner, built-in appearance.

Installation Considerations:
The one-piece toilet construction is heavier than most two-piece models. Two-person installation is recommended for safe lifting, positioning, and alignment.

Installation Steps

  1. Turn off the water supply valve and flush the existing toilet to empty the tank and bowl.
  2. Disconnect the water supply line and remove the old toilet from the floor flange.
  3. Clean the flange area thoroughly and remove any remaining wax ring material or debris.
  4. Install a new wax ring or approved toilet seal onto the closet flange.
  5. Carefully lower the UltraMax toilet onto the mounting bolts, ensuring proper alignment with the drain opening.
  6. Tighten the floor bolts evenly until the toilet is secure and level. Do not overtighten.
  7. Reconnect the water supply line and turn the water back on.
  8. Install the included WASHLET S5 seat using the supplied mounting hardware.
  9. Connect the WASHLET water supply fittings and plug the unit into a nearby GFCI-protected electrical outlet.
  10. Test the flushing system, cleansing functions, heated seat, dryer, deodorizer, and remote-control operation while checking all connections for leaks.
