  • Side control panel: every wash and comfort setting sits on the arm of the seat, with no remote to keep track of
  • Instant warm water: heats on demand so the wash stays warm from start to finish
  • Heated seat: adjustable warmth that takes the edge off a cold bathroom
  • Warm air dryer: three heat settings so you reach for less toilet paper
  • PREMIST and EWATER+: mists the bowl before you use it and rinses the wand with electrolyzed water after

Controls Built Into the Seat

The WASHLET S2 puts every control on a panel mounted to the right arm of the seat rather than on a remote. There is nothing to misplace and no batteries to replace, which suits a guest bathroom or a second bathroom where the simplest interface is usually the right one. Wash mode, water pressure, water temperature, seat temperature and dryer temperature are all adjusted from the panel.

Instant Warm Water and Three Wash Modes

Instead of holding a small reservoir of preheated water, the S2 heats on demand, so the wash stays warm for its full length and for the next person straight after. Water is adjustable from approximately 95°F to 104°F. Three wash modes — rear, rear soft and front — can be fine-tuned for pressure and nozzle position, and the wand rinses itself with electrolyzed water before and after every use. An automatic deodorizer and a soft night light are both included.

A New Flush Engine, Not a New Badge

A conventional gravity toilet empties its tank through a single valve, and that one uncontrolled release has to both rinse the bowl and start the siphon. The Aurora uses two nested tanks and two valves that fire in sequence — one sends the rim wash, the other the siphon jet. TOTO states this extends bowl and rim coverage by up to five times against a standard gravity flush at the same 1.28 gallons.

INTEGRAVITY works alongside TORNADO FLUSH, which is the shape of the bowl rather than the tank: two nozzles drive the water in a cyclonic path instead of feeding it through a ring of rim holes. Most listings for this toilet treat the two as one feature. They are separate systems, and the Aurora has both.

Who Should Choose the Aurora WASHLET+ S2?

The Aurora WASHLET+ S2 is best suited to shoppers who want the full WASHLET experience at the lowest entry point in the range and do not mind reaching for a control panel on the seat. It is worth knowing that comparison charts elsewhere often strip the S2 of PREMIST, EWATER+, the deodorizer, the night light and tankless heating. Those claims are wrong — TOTO’s own specification sheet lists all five.

If you would rather control the seat from a wireless remote and save settings for up to four people, the Aurora WASHLET+ S5 is the same seat with those two additions.

TOTO Aurora WASHLET+ S2 One-Piece Toilet — 1.28 GPF

The Aurora is TOTO’s 2026 flagship one-piece and the first toilet built around the INTEGRAVITY SYSTEM™, a gravity flush engine that sequences the rim wash and the siphon jet instead of releasing both at once. Its flared, fully skirted silhouette conceals the trapway, and CEFIONTECT glaze keeps the ceramic smooth enough that waste and mineral deposits struggle to take hold. This configuration pairs it with the WASHLET S2 (SW3346), model number MW6863346CEFG#01.

As a WASHLET+ system, the power cord and water supply run into a channel cast into the back of the bowl rather than out of the side of the seat, so nothing is visible from the front or the side.

Compare the Four WASHLET Options

Every Aurora WASHLET+ uses the same bowl, the same flush engine and the same glaze. The seat is the only thing that changes. The shaded column is the S2 on this page.

TOTO Aurora WASHLET+ S2 Compatibility

The TOTO Aurora WASHLET+ is a one-piece smart toilet with an integrated bidet seat. Confirm these four things before ordering:

  • Rough-in measurement: 12-inch standard. 10"/14" supported with TSU01W adapter (sold separately).
  • Floor clearance: 21 inches in front of the bowl, 15 inches on each side.
  • Water supply: Standard ½-inch connection at the base of the toilet.
  • Electrical outlet: GFCI 120V within 3 feet (powers integrated WASHLET+ bidet seat).
Toto toilet compatibility. Will it fit your space/

Installation steps

  1. Prep. Shut off the water supply, flush to empty the tank, then disconnect the supply line.
  2. Remove the old toilet. Unbolt from the floor and scrape the old wax ring from the flange.
  3. Set the wax ring. Place a new wax ring on the flange, centered over the drain.
  4. Seat the new toilet. Lower onto the flange, press down firmly, and hand-tighten the bolts evenly.
  5. Connect and test. Reconnect the supply line, restore water, and plug into the GFCI outlet.

Frequently asked questions about the TOTO Aurora S2

Does the WASHLET S2 come with a remote control?

No. The WASHLET S2 is operated from a control panel mounted on the right arm of the seat. If you would prefer a wireless remote with memory for up to four users, that is the WASHLET S5, which is otherwise the same seat.

Is the WASHLET S2 missing features the other WASHLETs have?

Less than most comparison charts suggest. The S2 includes instant warm water, PREMIST, EWATER+ wand cleaning, an automatic deodorizer, a heated seat, a three-setting warm air dryer and a night light. What it genuinely lacks against the S5 is the wireless remote and the seamless seat body.

Should I choose the 1.28 GPF Aurora or the other version?

The two are only about twelve dollars apart, so this is not a cost decision. Choose 1.28 GPF if you have a long horizontal drain run with minimal fall, older cast-iron pipe, or this is the only fixture on that branch, because an ultra-low-flow toilet has less water available to carry solids the full distance. Otherwise the 1.0 GPF Aurora 1G is fine and uses roughly 22% less water per flush.

What makes a WASHLET+ toilet different from a standard bidet seat installation?

WASHLET+ is a matched pair. The bowl has a channel cast into the back of it, and the seat runs its power cord and water hose rearward into that channel rather than out of the side. Nothing is visible from the front or the side. An ordinary bidet seat added later will work on this bowl, but its cord and hose will run across the skirt in plain view.

What are the downsides of the Aurora WASHLET+ S2?

The main limitations are that INTEGRAVITY launched in February 2026 and has no long-term field record yet, the warranty is one year rather than the two or three some competitors offer, and the toilet ships with a left-hand trip lever, so ADA compliance requires either a right-hand lever or auto flush. The Ebony finish also ships without CEFIONTECT glaze while costing more than Cotton White. At 132 lbs boxed this is a two-person installation.
